I was already self-conscious and shy so on that fateful day when I came home puzzled and confused as to what was happening I found yet another thing to be self-conscious about.

My first period

Could Hardly Wait

I do not remember much about my first period. I assume this is because it was not particularly eventful. I started my cycle when I was in Grade 7, at age 12. By the time I got my period, a couple of my friends had already started so I was prepared. I used my pocket money to buy some pads already and was just waiting for the big day. I don't remember much but I know I was excited and nervous all at once.
