My period has been very difficult for me. It has been very hard to talk about it. My parents never want to talk about it. The other thing that is difficult is that they force me to go to work or to go to school even when I am in pain. This really bothers me.

It's hard to have a period when you’re poor

I started my period when I was 11. It's very hard to have a period when you are poor. We use old cloths for periods and it's very dirty. We cannot afford pads. Sometimes I cannot go to school because I have nothing to help with my periods. some girls in our area even sleep with old men so that they can get some pads. It is very bad. I wish for more education on these subjects and for us to be free to talk about the periods.
